To measure and order inside mounting, start by finding the width. Measure the exact distance from the inside of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom (from left to right), and select the minimum number as the window width.

Next, find the height. Measure the exact distance from the inside of the window frame at the left, middle, and right (from top to bottom), and select the maximum number as the window height.

When ordering, the width should be the exact window inside width, and the height should be the exact window inside height. Round the numbers, and we will take a 0.4-inch deduction from the order width to ensure a proper fit. A minimum window depth of 2 inches is required.

For outside mounting, there are two options:

1. If you want the shade to fully cover the window frame, the order width should be the final shade width, which is the window outer frame width plus an extra 3 to 6 inches. The order height should be the final shade height, which is the window outer frame height plus an extra 5 to 10 inches.

2. If you want to mount the shade on the surface of the frame, the order width should be the final shade width, which is the window outer frame width. The order height should be the final shade height, which is the window outer frame height.

It's important to note that the size you order is the finished shade size, not the window size. We will not take any deductions for outside mounting.
